    Lighting the Charcoal Using a Chimney Starter The simplest way to light any kind of charcoal is to use a chimney starter; the WEBER RAPIDFIRE chimney starter (sold separately). Refer to the cautions and warnings included with the RAPIDFIRE chimney starter before lighting.
  • Page 18 BARBECUING METHODS - DIRECT HEAT The WEBER SUMMIT KAMADO can be used for three cooking methods: Direct barbecuing, Indirect barbecuing, and Smoking. Before continuing, determine which cooking method will be used and follow the appropriate instructions in this owner's guide. NOTE: Barbecuing in a colder climate or higher altitude will extend your cooking time.
