If your HD2D Dual Lens camera is to be returned for service, please contact the Safe Fleet technical support
team, provide the part and/or serial # of your unit, and ask for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
number.
An RMA # allows the support team to better track your product when it comes in for service. Please show the
RMA # on the outside of the package.
ANY PRODUCT SENT WITHOUT AN RMA# MAY BE REFUSED!

This guide covers the installation procedures for the HD2D Dual Lens camera.
About
The HD2D camera is meant to work with DH4C, TH6, TH8 and
NH16 video recorders as part of the Safe Fleet DS4 system.
HD2D cameras have two lenses, a front lens facing the exterior
area ahead of the vehicle and a rear lens pointing inside the
vehicle.
The HD2D camera rear lens is provided with IR LED support and
a status indicator.
This camera is designed for interior use only.
Installation Kit Contents
Check the package and contents for visible damage. If any components are damaged or missing, contact the
Safe Fleet Service team and request an RMA (Return Material Authorization).
General purpose components
• HD2D Camera
• 1.6mm Hex Head 'L' Key
• Double-sided 3M self adhesive sticker
Cable Requirements
The HD2D Dual Lens camera needs an HEHD10 cable to be connected to
recorders.
Installation Environment
When installing the camera, consider the following:
• Ventilation: Ensure the location planned for the camera installation is well-ventilated.
• Temperature: Do not operate the camera beyond the specified temperature, humidity, or power source
ratings. The operating temperature of the camera is between
• Servicing: Do not attempt to repair this camera yourself. Any attempt to dismantle the product, except as
required for normal installation, will negate the warranty, and may also result in injury. Refer all servicing
to qualified service personnel.
• Cleaning: Do not touch the lens with your fingers. If cleaning is necessary, use a clean, soft cloth with
isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe the camera.
