    C. The usual unit of measurement of capacity is the ampere-hour, abbreviated as Ah. Capacity can be expressed in Rated Capacity or Actual Capacity. The nominal capacity of the FAAM FTS battery see Table 1-1. The actual capacity is the product of the discharge current and discharge time, the unit is Ah.
  • Page 7 FTS SERIES BATTERY USE AND Pag. 7 of 16 MAINTENANCE MANUAL Discharge regime The discharge regime is often described as now and multiple. Figure 2-1 shows the characteristic discharge curves at different discharge regimes. From the figure you can see that, when different discharges are adopted for the same type of battery, if the discharge regime is higher and the discharge current is greater, the discharge time is shorter and the capacity that can be discharged is lower.

    4. Float temperature and voltage Room temperature The best operating temperature for FAAM FTS series batteries is 20°C. At a temperature of 20°C, FAAM batteries can be discharged to 100% of their rated capacity. If the room temperature is different from the indicated value, you can do this in the following ways: 1.

FTS SERIES BATTERY USE AND Pag. 9 of 16 MAINTENANCE MANUAL Float voltage The purpose of choosing the float voltage value is to achieve the expected life and rated capacity of the battery. If the float voltage is higher, the current will be higher, it will accelerate the corrosion of the plates and shorten the life of the battery.

Installation Installation Precautions The customer can adopt flexible installation methods depending on the conditions of the installation location. However, detailed installation requirements must be presented at the time of ordering, so that the best connection scheme can be adopted, and the installation diagram provided.

2.23 Equalization charge FAAM FTS Series batteries should be equalized if you are in any of the following conditions: — After the system is installed. — Maintenance every three months if the voltage of at least two batteries is below 2.23V/cell.
  • Page 13 FTS SERIES BATTERY USE AND Pag. 13 of 16 MAINTENANCE MANUAL decrease the charging time. Charge After a discharge, the batteries must be recharged promptly. The recommended method is — The battery must first be recharged with a constant current of 0.1C10 A until the average voltage of 2.35 V–2.40 V is reached, then charged at a constant voltage of 2.35 V–2.40 V/cell,...
  • Page 14: Storage

    — The self-discharge rate is related to the ambient temperature. The degree of self-discharge is lower when the ambient temperature is lower. The ambient storage temperature of FAAM FTS series batteries ranges from 0°C to 35°C. The storage location must be clean, ventilated, and dry.

MAINTENANCE MANUAL 9. Maintenance To ensure expected life, batteries must be properly inspected and maintained. For the maintenance methods of FAAM FLOLL series batteries, the following is recommended: Monthly maintenance: — Implement the check in the summary sheet every month.
  • Page 16 FTS SERIES BATTERY USE AND Pag. 16 of 16 MAINTENANCE MANUAL Triennial maintenance — Perform a capability test, once every three years and once a year after the "six years" operation. If the battery capacity is less than 80% of the rated capacity, the battery must be replaced.
