    USE AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL Pag. 5 of 21 STG-STGM SERIES BATTERIES Product features • Tubular positive plates obtained by die-casting from a Pb-Ca-Sn alloy. • The electrolyte consists of gelled material containing SiO2, non-sliding and without gradation, distributed equally on the plates. The battery is filled with enough to prevent depletion at high temperatures or overcharging conditions.

    USE AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL Pag. 13 of 21 STG-STGM SERIES BATTERIES Charging methods 4.1 Equalization charge Batteries tend to discharge during transport and storage. Before being put into service, and batteries must receive an equalization charge as follows: If the stock was less than 6 months, please charge at 2.35V/cell for 8 hours. If the stock was less than 12 months, please charge at 2.35V/cell for 12 hours.

Depending on the type of charger, either the constant voltage method or the constant current method can be used.

Avoid vibrations and collisions during shipping and handling. You should hold the bottom of the battery firmly when handling.
