Function or control
Turns on and selects the subtitles available on
the DVD. For more information, see "Selecting
subtitles" on page 32.
Selects the play mode of the player. For more
information, see "Programmed play" on
page 36 and "Shuffle or random play" on
page 38.
Selects the audio mode of the player. For more
information, see "Audio mode" on page 30.
Resumes play when DVD is paused.
Shows the tracks available on a CD, or the
titles, chapters, or bookmarks (if set) available
on a DVD. For more information, see "Digest
play" on page 38.
Shows the titles available on a DVD.
Starts the playback of a DVD or CD.
Changes the direction of the DVD or helps
navigate on-screen menus.
Accesses the Setup menu.
Plays the DVD in slow motion. For more

Pauses the DVD picture.
Plays fast forward and fast reverse.
Sends the IR signal to the DVD player to
remotely operate the player.
Lets you select an alternate viewing angle
(when available). For more information, see
"Selecting viewing angles" on page 33.
Lets you select from the available languages
on a DVD. For more information, see "Audio
mode" on page 30.
Used to enter numbered choices and
selections on the on-screen menus.
