    General Information Carefully review installation instructions. Power exhaust is designed for downflow applications . If the installation is for horizontal duct connections, the power exhaust may be mounted on the horizontal return duct. An economizer or motorized damper must be installed and functional before attempting to install the power exhaust.

    Follow proper lockout/ tagout procedures to ensure the power cannot be inadvertently energized. For variable frequency drives Install Edge or other energy storing components provided by Trane Protector or others, refer to the appropriate manufacturer’s Power Exhaust Hood literature for allowable waiting periods for discharge of capacitors.
