    Drive-Up The NCR SelfServ 34 Automated Teller Machine (ATM) may be installed through any suitable exterior wall or vestibule location. There are two types of SelfServ 34: a walk-up and a drive-up version. In all illustrations within this manual, the walk-up will be used; except where the text relates specifically to the drive-up.

    NCR SelfServ 34 ATM Site Preparation Product Identification The product is identified by a class type number, SelfServ 34, and a 4 digit model number, (normally 0100), which is printed on a label fixed inside the top cabinet of the ATM. The serial number is unique to each ATM.

    NCR SelfServ 34 ATM Site Preparation SERVICE ACCESS PANELS AND FACIA APERTURE For installations where there is enough room to stand at either side of the ATM, there are two service access panels on the top-box; one at either side, as shown below. The panels can be removed to allow easier access to the facia, keyboard and shutter areas.

It does not comply with the lowered height regulations listed in the next section. For walk-up ATMs, the height from sidewalk level to the base of the hole in the wall must be 1026 mm (40.4 in.).

    NCR SelfServ 34 ATM Site Preparation SEALING THE HOLE IN THE WALL AGAINST COLD AND WATER To ensure that the temperature around the ATM is maintained during cold weather, it is important that the wall opening is prepared correctly. Any cavity in the wall should not extend into the wall opening, but sealed to provide a flush surface.

    NCR SelfServ 34 ATM Site Preparation REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FLOOR The ATM is suitable for mounting on concrete or other non-combustible surface only. Floor Covering An antistatic floor covering should be used and must be of a type that will not generate dust or fluff.
