When inserting DIMMs, use pressure, but not excessive pressure as this can cause damage to the socket.

Verifying the Memory Upgrade
Cisco ASA 5510
You can verify that the memory upgrade has been completed successfully by entering the show version
command, the example below is for the Cisco ASA 5510 chassis:
hostname# show version
