Technical Data Gearbox Assembly Instructions Introduction The purpose of this document is to provide instructions for assembling gearboxes onto Albion’s ART 125 and ART 140 Butterfly Valves. You will require a 4mm T bar to undertake this assembly. A complete risk assessment should take place prior to work commencing.

Assemble gearbox to valve. Remove both grub screws from gearbox shown in images 6 & 7. Image 6 Image 7 Loosen both screws which are located under the grub screws so they can be seen. DO NOT re- move them. Shown in image 8. Image 8 Fully Open Position Fully open the valve to the required amount using the position indicator on top of the gearbox to...

Tighten the left screw until resistance can be felt. Shown in image 10. DO NOT over tighten when the resistance is met. Image 10 Now the valve cannot be opened any further and is set at the required position. Fully Closed Position Close the valve until fully shut.

Tighten the right screw until resistance can be felt. Shown in image 12. DO NOT over tighten when the resistance is met. Image 12 Now the valve cannot be closed any further and is set at the required position. Re-insert the grub screws and screw until tight shown in images 13 & 14. Image 13 Image 14 Review the valve in both a fully open and fully closed position to ensure full and correct operation.
