Description
This installation sheet includes information on the NC-D-PT
Handheld Programmer.
The programmer is compatible for use with the Kidde
Commercial NC Series conventional point and beam detectors.
Use the programmer to:
• Configure conventional point detector sensitivity levels
• Configure conventional point detector status LED powered
indications
• Configure conventional beam detector sensitivity levels
• Configure conventional beam detector beam length

Operation
Button functionality
The programmer button functionality is described in the table
below.
Button Function
Reset Press to wake the programmer after an automatic
shutdown [1]
Test Press to read the detector settings
Program Press to confirm a configuration change
Up Press to scroll up a list of values
Down Press to scroll down a list of values
Function Press to confirm the type of configuration to be
performed
Clear Press to clear the programmer LCD
[1] The programmer turns off after 100 seconds if no button is pressed.
