Removing the BD PureWick™
Female External Catheter
1.
Fully separate the legs,
gluteus, and labia.
2.
To avoid potential skin
injury upon removal,
gently pull the BD
PureWick™ Female
External Catheter directly
outward.
Maintenance
Replace the BD PureWick™ Female External
Catheter at least every 8 to 12 hours or if soiled
with faeces or blood. Assess skin for compromise
and perform perineal care prior to placement of
a new BD PureWick™ Female External Catheter.
