4. GENERAL INFORMATION
MOST PX850 Welding Filter does not protect against severe impact hazards, such as fractured grinding wheels or abrasive discs explosive
devices or corrosive liquids. Machine guards or eye splash protection must be used when these hazards are present.
The auto-darkening welding filters are designed for Arc welding or cutting applications. The unit is suitable for all Arc welding processes such as
MIG, MAG, TIG, SMAW, Plasma Arc and Carbon Arc.
This auto-darkening welding helmet is not recommended for „overhead" welding applications, laser welding or laser cutting applications.
5. BEFORE WELDING
Ensure that the helmet is correctly assembled and fitted with inner and outer protection lenses (please remove the protection film).
Ensure the protections are clear and free of spatter and do not show any signs of damage such as pits or cracks.
Adjust the headgear to maximize comfort and field of vision.
Remove the battery protection tabs – allowing the ADF to activate.
Check the prescribed shade level, light sensitivity, delay for your welding application and adjust your ADF accordingly (see the table with recommended
shade levels).
6. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
