INTRODUCTION
I Data Error Precautions
• Your digital camera is manufactured using precision
digital components. Any of the following creates the risk
of corruption of data in file memory.
— While the camera is performing an operation,
removing the battery or memory card from the camera,
or placing the camera onto or removing it from the
USB cradle
— While the operation lamp is flashing green after turning
off the camera, removing the memory card from the
camera or placing the camera onto or removing it from
the USB cradle
— Disconnecting the USB cable, removing the camera
from the USB cradle, or disconnecting the AC adaptor
from the USB cradle while a data communication
operation is being performed
— Low battery power
— Other abnormal operations
Any of the above conditions can cause an error message to
appear on the monitor screen (page 239). Follow the
instructions provided by the message to eliminate the
cause of the error.
I Operating conditions
• This camera is designed for use in temperatures ranging
from 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).
• Do not use or keep the camera in the following areas.
— In areas subject to direct sunlight
— In areas subject to high humidity or dust
— Near air conditioners, heaters, or other areas subject
to temperature extremes
— Inside of a closed vehicle, especially one parked in the
sun
— In areas subject to strong vibration
