3. Turn on your BRC3109. If you have a disc (Blu-ray, DVD or CD) already loaded, we recommend
you remove the disc.
4. Insert your Flash Drive into USB port located on the front panel of the BRC3109.
5. The BRC3109 should recognize the new software on your Flash Drive. If your BRC3109 is not
already up to date it will bring up instructions for you to follow (skip directly to Step 7 below).
If your BRC3109 is up to date, you're done! Congratulations! No need to proceed with further
steps.
6. Manual Update: Only perform steps a, b and c if you feel that the BRC3109 has not recognized
that a software update is available, and you feel that the downloaded software might be a
newer version
a) Press the SETUP button on your BRC3109 Remote Control, and then select the
"General" menu.
b) Select the "Software Update" option. You should see a "Choose device -> USB" option
– select this.
c) BRC3109 will display a screen indicating the version number of current software and the
version number of the downloaded software. Only proceed with updating if the version
number of the current software on BRC3109 is older (smaller number) than the
downloaded version.
7. You'll then see a "Software Update" screen. Please be patient during this process, follow the
onscreen instructions carefully, and ensure that you DO NOT turn off the product during this
process.
8. Once the update is complete, you'll see a message asking you to restart the BRC3109 – please
do so. (Note: the BRC3109 may restart automatically).
9. Congratulations! You've now completed the update process!
