    Host System Requirements Before installing the SRC/P Controller, make sure that the Sun Enterprise 450 host server meets the following hardware and software requirements. Insert the SRC/P Controller into the appropriate slot on the main logic board. You can install the SRC/P Controller in PCI slots 1 through 7 only.

    If you are connecting an external storage device to the upper port A on the SRC/P Controller, insert the connector with the flat side facing down. If you are connecting an external storage device to either port B or port C on the SRC/P Controller, insert the connector with the flat side facing up.

    1. Power on the system. See “How to Power On the System” in the Ultra Enterprise 450 Server Owner’s Guide. 2. When the system banner is displayed on the monitor, immediately enter the Stop-a sequence on the Sun keyboard.
