When power is applied to an electromagnetic lock, it activates a built-in electromagnet that attracts
a door-mounted steel armature plate, preventing the door from opening. When power is removed,
the electromagnet releases the armature, allowing the door to open. SECO-LARM offers a full line
of electromagnetic locks with holding forces up to 1,500-lb for single- and double-doors and gates.
