The update may only be carried out on the following devices:
Name of the device
PRIMEDIC HeartSave AS
PRIMEDIC HeartSave PAD
PRIMEDIC HeartSave AED
PRIMEDIC HeartSave AED-M
Attention: Please read the instructions in advance as well as the information in Section '8 - Information'
carefully and in-full.
If you have any questions, you are welcome to use the following contact options to ask us.
Term definitions: In the following instructions, for all devices concerned in the HeartSave series
(HeartSave PAD / HeartSave AED / HeartSave AS / HeartSave AED-M) the term 'AED' is used consistently
and representatively.
The memory card which was included in the original scope of delivery of your device is described as the
'SaveCard'.
'Battery 3', 'Battery 6' and 'AkuPak LITE' are jointly referred to with the term 'Power module'.
Attention: Please check the status display of your AED (Fig. A) as fast as possible.
If it shows the depiction in Fig. (D), go to Section '1 - Remove the power module'.
However, if the status display shows one of the two depictions Fig. (B) or Fig. (C), please remove the
power module as described in '1 - Remove the power module', wait a few seconds and then re-insert it
into the AED as described in '4.2 - Re-inserting the power module'. As a result, your AED carries out
an automatic self-test (see Section '6.3 - Automatic self-test' and following).
If the status display shows the depiction in Fig. (D), you can start the update as described from
'1 - Preparations'.
If one of the two depictions Fig. (B) or Fig. (C) remains visible in the status display of your AED,
please contact the Metrax GmbH technical service.
In this case, your AED must be sent to Metrax.
