    Description of the Device The DAP IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U is a compact installation mixer. It can be installed in a standard 19-inch rack. For optimal use, there are inputs, outputs and controls on the front and back of the device.

    Rack mounting The IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U can be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack. The device requires 2 rack units (U) of space, which is 88.9 mm high. Make sure that the rack is sufficiently secured to prevent it from becoming unstable or falling over.

    5.2. Switching ON/OFF The IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U has a power switch (N). Make sure that all of the inputs and outputs are connected before turning the power on. To switch the device on: Press the power switch (N) down on the left hand side.

    IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U Both inputs are electronically balanced with extremely low noise and hum and are suitable for connecting low- impedance microphones. Each input has its own dedicated controls: mic 1 control section (B) (see 5.3.2. Mic Control Section on page 12), mic 2 control section (K) (see 5.3.2.

    IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U 5.3.3. Reverb Control Section The reverb control section (mic 1/2) (C) features a reverb level control (7) for mic 1, a reverb level control (8) for mic 2, and a reverb button (9). Figure 7 Reverb level control (7) and (8) control the amount of reverb for the corresponding microphone input.

    IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U • • If the peak LEDs (11) remain on or blink frequently, slide the corresponding fader (10) down to reduce the amplification. The BT pair button (12) enables a connection with a Bluetooth-enabled device (see 5.15. Bluetooth Pairing page 18).

    To attenuate the level, turn the level control (25) counterclockwise. 5.7. Bluetooth Module The IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U features a built-in Bluetooth module (I). 5.8. Phones Section The phones section (J) features a ratio control (19), a level control (20) and a phones output (21).

    The phones output (21) is a 6,3 mm / 1/4" TRS socket, wired as Tip=left, Ring=right and Sleeve=ground. CAUTION Hearing damage risk Note: The IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U can produce high output levels via the phones output. Make sure that the phones level control is set to 0 before connecting headphones. 5.9. Master Output Section There are two master outputs: master 1 output (P) and master 2 output (O).

    The IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U features two ground screws: ground screw 1 (S) and ground screw 2 (V). To prevent ground loops, use a ground wire to connect the ground screw(s) on the IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U to the ground screw(s) on connected secondary device(s).

    01) Turn on Bluetooth on the device you want to pair with the IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U. 02) Press and hold the BT pair button (12) on the IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U until the LED indicator starts flashing. 03) Wait for your device to detect the IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U and follow its instructions.

    IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U 5.16. Setup Example A typical setup example is shown below. Make sure that the IMIX-6.2 Install Mixer 2U is switched off (see 5.2. Switching ON/OFF on page 11) before connecting other devices. • • To connect an amplifier, use the unbalanced RCA outputs (26) or the balanced XLR outputs (27).
