    ASSEMBLY & OPERATION NOTE: Before using the tool, read the instruction book carefully. ASSEMBLY WARNING! Do not install the battery pack before it has been completely assembled. Always use gloves when handling the chain. CHAIN AND GUIDE BAR ASSEMBLY 1. Loosen the hex nut to remove the drive cover. Slide the chain in the slot around the guide bar.
  • Page 8 chain tension. ● Cutting edges on chain are sharp. Use protective gloves when handling chain. ● Maintain proper chain tension always. A loose chain may jump out of guide bar groove. This may injure operator and damage chain. A loose chain will cause the chain, bar, and sprocket to wear rapidly.

    4. Avoid dirt or debris entering oil tank, refit oil fill cap and tighten by turning clockwise until hand tight. It is important to use bar and chain lubricant (not automotive oil) that is formulated to perform over a wide temperature range with no dilution required.
