FUEL HECHT machines with a four-stroke engine must be operated exclusively with clean, unleaded petrol standard quality and class (depending on the season), without oil additives. The machine engine was homologated for this petrol.
Page 24: Motor Oil
MOTOR OIL • This engine is delivered without oil, be sure to put oil in the engine before the starting. Top-up the recommended oil type before first use. • Only use the recommended types of engine oils with the appropriate performance (The recommended oil type is given in the Specifications) class).

• As head (pumping height) increases, pump output decreases. The length, type, and size of the suction and discharge hoses can also signiﬁcantly affect pump output. • Discharge head capability is always greater than suction head capability, so it is important for suction head to be the shorter part of total head.

C Be sure pump chamber is ﬁlled with water before starting the engine. NEVER run pump without priming. It will cause serious damages to the engine parts as well as the withdrawal of the guarantee. Failure to follow the maintenance instructions and safety precautions may cause serious injury or death. Always follow the procedures, safety precautions, recommended maintenance and recommended checks mentioned in this manual. WARNING! ENGINE MAINTENANCE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS • Make sure the engine is off before you begin any maintenance or repairs. This will eliminate several potential hazards: - Carbon monoxide poisoning from engine exhaust - be sure there is adequate ventilation whenever you operate the engine. - Burns from hot parts - let the engine and exhaust system cool before touching.

(3) These items should be serviced by an authorized servicing dealer of our company, unless you have the proper tools and are mechanically proﬁcient. OIL CHANGE It is recommended to ask authorized service for oil change. Drain the engine oil when the engine is warm. Warm oil drains quickly and complete. Attention: Do not drain oil when the engine is running! When you drain the oil from the top oil fill tube, the fuel tank must be empty or fuel can leak out and result in a fire or explosion.

Air dry ﬁlter element. Place a few drops of SAE30 oil on the foam ﬁlter and squeeze tightly to remove any excess oil. Reinstall the air cleaner element and the cover (Fig. 21). WARNING! Do not use gasoline or other types of fuels or ﬂammable solvents to clean air ﬁlter. It may cause ﬁre or explosion.

FUEL STRAINER CLEANING C Gasoline is extremely ﬂammable and is explosive under certain conditions. Do not smoke or allow ﬂames or sparks in the area open ﬁre. Remove the fuel strainer from the fuel tank (Fig. 27 A). Clean the fuel strainer (remove dirt which has accumulated on the mesh, and check that the mesh is not broken anywhere).

Remove the spark plug. Use an oilcan to fill approx. 20 ml recommended motor oil into the combustion chamber. Operate the starter to evenly distribute the oil in the combustion chamber.
