Prior to Installation
All products manufactured and supplied by Bristan are safe to use
provided that they are installed, operated and receive regular
maintenance in accordance with these instructions.
This product needs to be installed in accordance with, and meet the
requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999
and current by-laws. For full Installation Requirements & Notes (IRN)
please visit wras.co.uk/directory.
Isolation valves must be fitted to the inlet water supplies to ensure ease
of future maintenance. Before installing this product the water supply
must be thoroughly flushed in order to remove any swarf, solder etc.
Full access must be made available for future maintenance/
servicing purposes.
Before drilling into walls, check that there are no hidden electrical
wires, cables or water supply pipes. This can be checked with the
aid of an electronic detector.
If power tools are used do not forget to:
- Wear eye protection
- Unplug equipment after use
This product must not be modified in any way
as this will invalidate the guarantee.

Installation

Ensure pipework is level and exactly 150mm distance apart –
150mm
measure between the centre of each pipe. Place the backplates

over the pipes against the tiled surface, marking the screw
holes, as well as where the pipe needs to be cut. Drill holes for
backplates using a 5mm drill bit. Use a pipe cutter to make a
clean straight cut to the pipework.

Slide olives onto pipes and then connect the threaded connectors
to the backplates. Grip the back plate with pipe pliers whilst
creating olive connection using adjustable spanner on the

threaded connector – otherwise tiling can be cracked. Then,
thread over the cover shrouds and screw back to the tiles.

To reduce the build up of limescale and ensure this shower works to
its maximum performance, we recommend this shower is serviced
every 6-12 months depending on the hardness of your water.

Slide the bracket

Secure the
bracket to
the wall.
Apply a small amount of suitable sealant

around the pipework where it protrudes
through the tiles, before then securing
backplates to the tiled surface using
wall plugs and screws provided.

Attach the shower body to the
wall mount connectors, ensuring filter washers are
in place. Ensure a cloth is placed over the chrome
shower nuts before tightening with spanner to avoid
scratching the surface. Turn water supplies on and
check for leaks.
Tighten nut to
secure riser.
To adjust the
height unscrew
the nut and move
the pole to the
desired height.
Tighten nut again
to secure in place.

Using a spirit level
to ensure the riser is
positioned correctly
and vertical to the wall,
use the assembled riser
to mark the desired
position of the bracket.
Attach the fixed head.
