PCEye Mounting Guide This guide provides the basics for getting started with PCEye for Grid Pad. You can find a complete guide on the Smartbox Hub (Large print version available): hub.thinksmartbox.com/knowledgebase/ grid-pad-13-pceye-mounting-guide/...

NOTE: Grid Pad 13 will need to have the deskstand changed to the larger one for use with eye gaze. Take the front chassis and, using careful force, push the USB cable through the opening in the back of the chassis.
Page 7
Turn the front chassis over and place on a table or flat surface. You may want to place a cloth down to protect the camera. Using the two M3 screws, secure the camera into the front chassis. Place the mounting plate over the rear of the front chassis.
Page 8
Pull the USB through the opening and ensure it is clear before securing the plate. At this point, the plate rests on the chassis and is secured (screwed) in place later. There will be a length of cable left and this needs to be tucked securely into the channel in the front chassis so that the front chassis can be mounted to the back chassis.
Page 9
You will need the back chassis for this next step. Take the length of the USB cable that is now running from the from chassis and feed the cable through the opening at the top of the enclosure.
Page 10
Next, take the cable adapter and place the two halves over the USB cable (the dotted line above shows the gap for the cable). Do not secure yet. The two halves should click together for now but still move freely up and down the cable. Included in the box is a positioning jig.
Page 11
Push the cable into the jig and adjust the adapter until it lies against the base of the jig.
Page 12
Secure the adapter with the two M2x6 screws and nuts provided. Remove the jig.
Page 13
Pull the adapter back into the slot (pulling gently on the cable) on the top of the rear chassis. Secure the adapter with two M2x4 screws.
Page 14
The front and back chassis are now connected by the camera USB cable. The next step is to secure the front and back together.
Page 15
Align the two parts of the chassis and, using gentle pressure, squeeze the two parts together. Secure with eight M2.5X6 screws. Test the connection and docking. Check the connection. Do not secure at this point.
Page 16
Using the foam tape provided, place into the recessed area (where the attachment pins and USB sit) at the top of the eye gaze unit. Use gentle pressure to ensure the tape bonds to the eye gaze unit.
Page 17
Connect the eye gaze unit to the communication device and secure with the screws provided. You are ready to go!
