IMPORTANT Carefully read and follow the instructions in this user manual before using the bike. This is not a toy. Children should not be allowed to ride or play with the bike or battery. The Retailer and the Distributor are not responsible for damage caused by the incorrect use of the bike. The bike’s maximum weight load is 100kg.
CONTROLLER DISPLAY The electronic display is mounted on the left side of the handlebars. It allows you to control the electric function of the e- bike and indicates, among other things, battery charge, speed, distance, temperature and power level. Please note: Controller design may differ slightly from the one pictured here.

POWERING YOUR E-BIKE ON/OFF Press the POWER button (13) on the handlebar display for 2 seconds. This provides power to the controller and the display will light up. Turn off by pressing the POWER button (13) again for 2 seconds. Power to the controller will be disconnected and the display lights will turn off.

To begin, make sure the power controller is on. The Shimano derailleur gives you a choice of gears. When starting off use an appropriate gear for easy pedalling as you would on a normal non-motorised bicycle. Within one or two pedal turns the motor will engage.
When the battery voltage is low, the bottom LED light flashes. This indicates the battery needs recharging. Jeep e-bike use lithium-ion batteries for their power supply. In contrast to other lithium batteries, lithium-ion batteries are free of “memory effects” and can be recharged even if the power is not completely exhausted.
BATTERY CHARGING Before using the bike for the first time, fully charge the battery for 8 hours. After this, a normal charge takes 4-5 hours. Turn off the bike controller Pull out the protective plastic bung in the charging port (pictured below) ...

FRONT LIGHT AND HORN The front light can be turned on by pressing the red button on the handlebar. Press it again to turn the light off. The green horn button is below the light button.

SHIMANO GEARS The Shimano controller gives you a choice of 7 gears. When starting appropriate gear easy pedalling as you would on a normal non-motorised bicycle. Within one or two pedal turns the motor will engage. A sensor monitors your pedalling to give a smooth, seamless ride.

HOW TO UNFOLD THE BIKE Stand on the side with the chain. The chain and the crank must be in front of you. Close the frame moving the front half and the rear half together until they meet (A).

Lock the frame latch lever (B) and close the safety hook so that the frame latch cannot open (C).

Swing the stem up to its normal vertical position. Lock the stem. Open the quick-release lever and raise the saddle to the desired height. Close the quick-release lever. Unfold the pedals to the horizontal position (D). The bike is ready for use.

HOW TO FOLD THE BIKE Stand near your bike, on the side without the chain and the crank. The chain and the crank must be in front of you. Open the seat post quick release and lower the seat post to the bottom.

Disassemble the handlebar stem. Unlock the post latch by pulling it away from the handle post. Fold down the stem and adjust the position of T-handle: ensure the front wheel stays parallel to the handlebar (see below A and B and C).

To fold bicycle frame, move the frame safety hook to the open position and open the safety latch lever of the frame.

Fold the frame in half by swinging the front half to the frame back, until the two wheels are parallel. The front wheel must be approximately parallel to the rear wheel. Fold the left and right pedal. The folding process is complete.
BATTERY REMOVAL Turn off the bike and fold open the frame to reveal the battery. Use the key to unlock the battery. The keyhole is located underneath the frame below the battery. Slide out the battery completely.
BRAKE ADJUSTMENT When adjusting the brake, make sure that the brake surface contacts the brake disc tightly when the lever is clenched to the middle. You can use the brake cable tension adjusting screw to adjust the brake stroke. This screw is located at the brake handle (see “A”). Turn the brake cable screw inward to relax it and the brake shoe will be further away from the rim;...
PEDAL ATTACHMENT There is a mark on each pedal indicating which crank it is to be threaded to. The two pedals have threads rotating in different directions. “L” is the left pedal, “R” is the right pedal. The non-drive side or left crank has a REVERSE thread, whilst the drive-side or right crank has a STANDARD thread.
Turn the power off. Ensure a full charge every 2 months. AFTER-SALES The Jeep e-bike uses industry standard parts that are serviceable at most cycle stores. Please contact your retailer if you encounter any technical problems. WARRANTY Your e-bike is warranted to be free from defects in materials, workmanship and functionality for a period of 1 year starting from the date of purchase.
