Go buttons
Function
These buttons are used to switch between the 6 playback pages. Each
page has 9 memory locations for lighting scenes, sequences or chases. A
red flashing page button indicates the active status. If the playback
buttons light up red continuously, lighting programs are active on these
pages.
These faders contain a total of 54 memory banks, divided into the
playback pages A-F. The faders control the brightness of the programs
assigned to them, i.e. all function channels that have been set up as
dimmer channels on a spotlight are dependent on these faders. Function
channels are not affected by the faders; they immediately take their final
value, either by pulling up the fader or by pressing the Go button first. If
several lighting programs are running simultaneously and DMX values
contradict each other, the higher DMX value takes precedence.
These 3 faders can also store light programs. However, as a special
feature they do not change with the playback pages but remain the same
on every page. It is therefore advisable to save basic lighting programs
that need to be called up quickly and independently of the playback
pages. This can be the hall light, an independent front light or even a
hazer or fog machine.
The Go buttons, together with the adjacent faders and the Flash buttons
directly below them, belong to a lighting program. The Go buttons have
three functions:
1. As long as no program is running, they are used to cue the program. If
the Go button is pressed before the fader is pulled up, all the function
channels stored there are called up. This is ideal, e.g. when moving
heads or other multifunctional spotlights are in use. Of course, these
should not wait for the dimmer to take their position call up the correct
gobos, etc. This is why the Go button can be used to set everything to
the correct position and then the fader is only used to increase the
brightness.
2. Programs that are set up as a scene can be advanced step by step
using the Go button. This is ideal for classic plays where you want to
switch to the next scene manually.
3. For running lights or music-controlled running lights, the Go button
can pause a running program when the fader is a pulled up position.
While a program is running, the Go LED flashes quickly. When you
press the Go button, the program stops at the current step and the Go
LED flashes slowly. The next time the button is pressed, the program
continues.
