Recording to MDs and cassette tapes
Analogue recording
You can record to an MD or cassette
deck without sound being affected by
copy guards if you use analogue con-
nection.
E To make an analogue recording
1. Connect the recording equipment
with
a stereo
connection
cable
(™ pages 34 and 36).
e When connecting directly, use the
same method used for connecting
a 2-channel
amplifier
or mini-
system (= page 36).
2. Set
"7
Speaker
Setting"
to
"2-channel" (œ page 38).
elf this is set to "Multi-channel",
only
the
audio
for
the
front
2 speakers will be recorded,
Digital recording
You can record the digital signal directly
onto an MD. All signals will be converted to
48 kHz linear PCM.
Ensure the following conditions are met.
eThere is no copy guard recorded on the
disc.
eThe
recording equipment
can
handle a
sampling frequency of 48 KHz/16 bit.
E To make a digital recording
1. Connect the recording equipment with
an optical fiber cable ( pages 35 and
36).
eWhen
connecting
directly,
use
the
same
method
used for connecting
a
2-channel
digital
amplifier
or mini-
system (= page 36).
2. Change the digital audio output settings
(= page 40).
