Instructions for the user
5.2
Cleaning the cooking hob parts
For easier cleaning the pan stands, burner caps, flame
spreader crowns and burners can all be removed;
wash them with warm water and a non-abrasive
detergent making sure to remove any encrustation,
then wait until they are perfectly dry.
WARNING: never wash these parts in a dishwasher.
In normal use of the hob, the stainless steel burner caps and pan-stands tend to
be burnished by the high temperature. Clean these parts using very fine
abrasive sponges or similar available in shops. Then use a
specific paste polish to restore the steel's shine. Your local authorised after-
sales technician is able to supply professional products for appliance cleaning
and care.
5.2.1 Ignition plugs and safety devices
For correct operation, the ignition plugs and the safety devices must always be
perfectly clean.
Check them frequently and clean them with a damp cloth if necessary.
5.2.2 Electric hot plate
After use, to keep it in good condition and make sure that the surface is always
clean and shiny, the electric plate must be treated with the appropriate products
that can be bought from shops. This necessary operation avoids any oxidation
(rust).
5.2.3 Igniters and thermocouples
Clean the glass or steel lid, where mounted, with warm water. Never use
abrasive sponges or detergents. To clean the rear part of the cooktop, remove
the lid unit by lifting it upwards.
When finished cleaning, refit the cover making sure to insert it correctly.
Before lifting up the lid, dry out any liquid that may have dripped.
Never lower the lid when burners or electric hot plates are on or still hot.
