Before installation check car radio with antenna and
speaker.
PREASSEMBLY
Mount components marked with double circled numbers
in fig. 1 to receiver before installation in car. Compo-
nents marked with single circled numbers are required
for the actual installation.
ANTENNA INSTALLATION
The antenna is installed on the LH side, seen in drive
direction.
Drill antenna hole according to measurements given in
fig. 1 and drilling template supplied.
First check measurements!
Remove undercoating from underside of antenna hole
apply graphite grease to

contact!
Insert antenna, line up and secure with cap nut.
Route antenna cable to car radio.
SPEAKER INSTALLATION
Disconnect ground battery terminal.
Insert speaker into dashboard and, depending on positi
on of
mounting hole, fasten either with lens head
self-tapping screw (2) or lens head screw and hex. nut
(3,3a).
CAR RADIO INSTALLATION
Dismount dummy plate in front of receiver cutout.
Insert preassembled receiver into dashboard and mark
off hole for rear mounting.
Remove receiver and drill mounting hole.
Insert receiver into dashboard and mount completely as
per figs.2 and 3.
Connect supply lead (17) with hex. adaptor to light
switch term. 30 (read positive lead).

Connect battery, extend antenna completely, switch on
set and adjust maximum volume.
Tune in a weak AM station at about 600 kHz.

EXAMINATION
With engine running, check performance of set on all
wavebands.
Set pushbuttons on sets with OMNIMAT automatic
selector.
Check electrical equipment of vehicle.
When checking the function of the tape recorder part in
case of cassette car radios see to it that an inserted
cassette is ejected after switching off the cassette car
radio.

Mount the extension speakers to the lateral struts behind
the rear seat and connect them with the corresponding
cable set.
