    Q Series Quick Guide SMART A-PILLAR DISPLAY Valtra smart A-pillar display brings all the information you need to exactly where you need it. With the essential information always displayed up top in a clear and easy way you’ll never be left searching for what you need to know.

    Q Series Quick Guide DISPLAY SETUP The user interface has three sections: settings, driving display and work display. You can move between these sections with the home and drive display buttons. Double tap on the Button Now you are in the drive display.

    Q Series Quick Guide WORK DISPLAY Access the drive display from the button on the terminal. This shows one large or four small displays according your selection. Swipe any of the displays left or right to view different drive displays.

    Enter the profile settings from any terminal menu by tapping on the top bar. VALTRA is set as the default profile and cannot be deleted or changed. Use the + button to create a new profile. Rename the new profile and modify the settings.

    Q Series Quick Guide DRIVING MODES AUTOMATIC MODE When you start the tractor the automatic driving mode is automatically selected. There are two main ways of driving: • Pedal driving (no symbol on displays) • Lever driving (symbol on displays) You can control the driving speed with the drive pedal or the drive lever.

    Q Series Quick Guide RANGE CHANGE VALTRA EXPERT Change the ranges only when there is no load on Push the button to shift from A to B. the transmission - and never when driving uphill or downhill! Use always range A for field work – and use range B for higher speed transport .

    Q Series Quick Guide CRUISE CONTROL Push the drive lever to the right to engage cruise, hold for 2 seconds to store the new speed. When cruise control is activated the cruise speed can easily be adjusted via the thumb wheel located on the drive lever.

    Q Series Quick Guide SCALING THE DRIVE PEDAL Go to the Transmission page Choose the scaling icon (max speed) Scale the range to the maximum speed required. The full range of the pedal is now available to drive at the selected speed.

Start to adjust your setting from one end to the other. Start from 1 and go way up to 5 and select the right speed for your purpose.

    Q Series Quick Guide ENGINE SPEED MEMORY Go to the engine screen via the engine button. From here, preset Memo 1 and 2. Change the value by selecting the appropriate memory and sliding it to the correct position or use the encoder wheel.

    Q Series Quick Guide ENGINE BRAKE ADJUSTMENT There are 5 different options for adjusting engine braking. is the lowest level of engine braking, where the tractor is close to free rolling when the drive pedal is released. is the highest level of engine braking where the tractor stops quickly after releasing the pedal.

    Q Series Quick Guide ROAD DRIVING VALTRA EXPERT Pedal driving is recommended for road transport. When driving with a heavy trailed load behind the tractor - the brake pedal must always be used to stop the vehicle (not only engine braking). For driving on even terrain select engine braking position 1 for better control of the machine.

    Q Series Quick Guide FIELD PULLING VALTRA EXPERT Lever driving or cruise control is recommended for field work. With implements with no PTO (pulling only) the transmission droop can be adjusted according to the implement and field conditions (the more it is on transmission side the more you save fuel). For the best mechanical power output while in the field always drive in work area A.

    Q Series Quick Guide PTO WORK VALTRA EXPERT For PTO work it is recommended to use the M buttons and create a headland management process for the task. Transmission droop settings should always be adjusted to the current work and conditions, on the middle or on engine side. In field work the tractor should always be driven in area A.

    Q Series Quick Guide PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS HYDRAULICS There are totally 9 different programmable hydraulic controls in the SmartTouch armrest. The auxiliary hydraulic controls are positioned on the armrest. The joystick, fingertip levers and linear levers are programmable, thus you can select which lever controls which valve.

    Q Series Quick Guide MASTER ACTIVATION Hydraulics, Valtra Guide steering valve, memory buttons (U-pilot) and Isobus aux controls can all be actived via the master activate button on the smarttouch armrest. When starting up the tractor simply press the button on the armrest and then select from the screen which functions you want to activate.

    Q Series Quick Guide CHANGE HYDRAULIC CONTROLS Go to the hydraulic page. Select the box adjacent to the desired valve. A new page will open. Select the position to operate it. Tick the desired box. The valve can now be operated from this control.

    Q Series Quick Guide You can use the power take-off (PTO) to transmit power from the tractor to an implement. Start the engine and tap the PTO symbol on the SmartTouch screen to open the PTO settings. Select the PTO speed. The value stays even in memory when you turn the ignition off.

    Q Series Quick Guide AUTO PTO With the automatic power take-off (auto PTO), you can set the limits for the automatic start and stop of the PTO. You can give a different limit for when you lift the rear linkage or lower the rear linkage.
