RTS 4B18 ROAD AMERICA SPEEDVLLE BRIDGE
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations in choosing a unique product to enhance your slot car track
diorama. This can truly be described as a product born from a love for slot cars.
Buying this product have made you a member of a very special family, yes you are
not dealing with a faceless business, but rather a family of slot car fanatics.
We put hours of skill and more importantly love into our product and it is wonderful to
share our love for slot cars with you. May you enjoy the build and have years of joy
having it as part of your trackside diorama.
This scaled pedestrian bridge that we developed is inspired by the landmark
Speedville Vehicle Bridge at Road America Raceway in
bridge is quite large and to accommodate the slopes that is required for a vehicular
bridge just did not work out. Instead of designing a replica we have opted for the
option to be inspired by this iconic bridge, but to produce a pedestrian bridge. The
easily recognized livery has been retained to ensure that the character remains
intact within the limitations of accommodating size. Regrettably the bridge don't
display this catching livery anymore.
We are of the opinion that this bridge will enhance many a slot car track diorama and
will bring a lot of character and the feeling and ambiance of Road America Raceway
to your diorama.

  • Page 2: What Is In The Kit

    WHAT IS IN THE KIT? In this kit you will find all the laser cut pieced needed to assemble this product. The pieces are still intact in the sheets as they were cut to ensure that all the parts are there.

  • Page 3: Familiarize Yourself

    FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF Have a look at a photo of the finished product. Now have a look at the next diagram where all the laser cut parts are shown and numbered from A to H. We will identify each item and where they fit in.
  • Page 4 The bridge structure has a double skin design for the sides with two inner skin sides (A 1-2) and two outer skin sides (B 1-2). The outer skins are engraved and this engraving must face inwards. The artwork will be fixed to the smooth side. There are two walls (D 1-2) between the inner skins and on each there are an RA artwork (E 1-2).
  • Page 5 Applying a base or undercoat normally makes life easier afterwards. Two coats of primer are advisable because the MDF absorbs a lot of paint. Using a single colour for the undercoat of all parts works quite well from personal experience. You can choose the paint of your preference, whether it is oil or water based.
