Check Dual Mono recording: This records
two mono tracks from the same source.
Menu > Rec Mode > Set Rec Mode to DUAL
MONO. Check that Source: reads CH 1
Check your file format:
Menu > Rec Setting > Format = WAV 24bit
Menu > Rec Setting > Sample = 48khz
While recording make sure to continually check your audio levels on the meters and the quality of
your audio in your headphones.
To record you need to push the record button twice. Once to initialize it (blinking red light) and the
second time to begin recording. You must hit the stop/home button to end the recording and save the
file. Pushing record again only pauses it.

If using the boom mic from an audio kit set the
Source Switch to Mic +48V Phantom Power
and say Yes when prompted. Do not use phantom
power if the mic you are using has its own
battery.
Turn up to the Input Level to at least the 12:00
position. If you're mic is connected correctly you
should see audio levels on the VU meters.
The triangle below the timecode indicates -12db.
Your audio levels should be getting close to or
hitting that mark. If they are not see below.
Check Gain Level
Check your mic gain level: Depending on your
setup you may need to adjust this setting most
likely to Mid Level. Menu > Input Setting > Ch. 1
> Mid
Low is often too quiet, but be careful not to set it
higher than it needs to be. This will boost your
audio level, but can introduce unwanted noise to
your signal.
