@ Digital recording of a digital source on the DAT
(CD/VDP1, DBS/VDP2)
1. Press the DIGITAL switch.
2. Set the DIGITAL Input selector switch to CD/VDP1
or
DBS/VDP2.
3. Play the source component connected to the input se-
lected in step 2.
4. Put the DAT recorder in the Record mode.
Note:
When the ditital recording operation is to be performed while you
are listening to an analog source, ensure that the DAC switch on
the rear panel is set to UNSWITCHED.
@ Recording radio broadcast (with the tuner)
. Press the ANALOG
switch.
. Set the ANALOG input selector to the TUNER position.
. Set the REC OUT selector to the TUNER position.
. Operate the tape deck, DAT deck or VCR to set to the
record mode.
. Operate the tuner (to tune to the desired
broadcast
station).
6. Adjust the recording level with the Record Level control
on the tape deck (or DAT deck, VCR).

In this position, no signal is output from the TAPE1/DAT
and TAPE2/VIDEO jacks on the rear panel. With this set-
ting, all of the tape deck connections are cut. Thus, this am-
plifier will not be affected by the impedance from the tape
decks, and the source sound can be enjoyed with superior
quality without interference or induction noise.
