@ How to install the batteries in the remote con-

. While pressing the hook of the battery compartment
cover, remove
the battery compartment
cover in the
direction of the arrow.
. Insert the two '"AAA" (RO3/UM-4) batteries into the bat-
tery compartment. Confirm that the batteries are installed
with correct (+) and (—) polarities as indicated inside
the battery compartment,
then re-install the cover in
place.
. The supplied batteries are used for checking the remote con-
trol operation. They may be expired in-a short while. When the
distance where remote control operation is possible becomes
short or the remote control unit does not function, replace both
two batteries with the new ones.
. Do not use the old and new batteries together. It may cause
malfunction.
@ Operable range with the remote control unit
Remote controllable area may differ depending on the tem-
perature, humidity or using conditions, etc. As approximate
values are shown in the figure on the left, use them as a
reference. Point the top of the remote control unit to the
POWER
switch
(remote control signal receptor) on
the
DA-9010.
@ Memory backup function

Selection
of ANALOG
and
DIGITAL
switches,
and
ON/OFF setting of the SOURCE
DIRECT and MUTING
switches are controlled by the microcomputer incorpo-
rated. When the DA-9010
is left with the POWER switch
set to OFF, or when the audio timer is used together and
it is set to the ''Timer-OFF'' mode, the contents of the
memory (switch status memory) will be cleared for about
3 days.
. If the memory contents has cleared up, the following
switches will be returned to the initial settings as shown
below:
ANALOG/DIGITAL switch — DIGITAL
SOURCE DIRECT switch —~ OFF
Muting switch — OFF
