Dispenser/ice maker operating tips
PROBLEM
CAUSE SOLUTION
Dispensers won't work
• Freezer door open • Close the freezer door.
Ice dispenser won't • Ice bin not property installed • Make sure Ice bin is pushed In

all the way.
• Wrong ice In bln • Use only crescents from Ice
maker. Shake Ice bin
occasionally to keep cubes
separated and to obtain
increased storage capacity.
• Dispenser not used for • Dump old ice and make a new
extended periods of time,
causing ice cubes to melt

Ice dispenser stops
• Ice dispenser bar held In • Wait about 3 minutes for the

Off-taste or odor In ice
• Ice attracts airborne odors; • Dump old ice and make a new

supply; store excess Ice in a
covered container.
• Water quality • Water containing minerals (such
as sulfur) may require a filter to
remove.
• For best results, avoid connect¬
ing ice maker to a softened
water supply. If softened water
supply cannot be avoided,
make sure the water softener is
well maintained and operating
properly.
• Foods not properly
• Wrap foods properly In airtight
wrapped and moisture-proof materials.
• Ice bin and freezer may • Clean freezer and ice bin. See
need cleaning

• Plumbing to Ice maker
• Follow Installation Instructions for
proper Ice maker water supply
hook up.
• New Ice maker
• The first few batches of ice from
a new Ice maker may have an
off-taste. Dump this Ice and
make a new supply.
