If the status LED does not light up when you press the
button, check the following:

The charger is off. Press and hold the button for
5 seconds to turn on the charger.

The charger's internal battery is too low to display the
status. Connect the charger to an electrical outlet, wait
several minutes and try again.
The internal battery has a capacity of 400 mAh / 450
mAh (see label on device).
