FIRST STEPS CONNECTION SOCKETS View C LINE IN This 3.5 mm jack socket is used to connect external sound generators such as MP3 players You can connect a standard sustain pedal to this 6.3 mm jack socket SUSTAIN if you want to use your digital piano without the supplied pedal. LINE OUT L/R This connection is divided into the L(eft) and R(ight) stereo channels.
1. Press the on/off switch on your digital piano. 2. The LEDs of the cursor keys and the Sound Select button light up. In addition, the indicator LED on the front of your digital piano lights up. The screen shows the GEWA Made in Germany logo.
The currently selected sound is shown on the display. FAVORITES Your GEWA digital piano has a category called “Favorites”. This contains 6 presets that you can completely freely define. Use the GEWA Piano Control app for this (see p. 33). The app is available for Android and iOS. Android METRONOME Your digital piano has a built-in metronome to help you find and keep the right beat while playing.
You can use the “Up” and “Down” cursor buttons to switch between factory EQ settings and user settings. The user EQ settings have 6 preset slots. These can be set via the GEWA Piano Remote app and assigned to your favorite sounds.
OPERATING RECORDING MENU / PLAYER RECORDING MENU Your GEWA digital piano has MIDI and USB-WAV recording functions. 5.6.1 INTERNAL RECORDING OPTION To use the internal recorder, proceed as follows: 1. Press the Recorder button to switch to recording mode. 2. Use the left and right cursor keys to select whether you want to record a song on your USB stick or on the instrument. Now select “Internal” and press F3 to confirm.

SYMPATHETIC RESONANCE / STRING RESONANCES On an acoustic piano, the strings of some notes resonate indirectly when a note is struck. This characteristic is simulated by your GEWA digital piano and its intensity can be changed using the sympathetic resonance function.
You can use the temperament function to adjust the tuning of your digital piano, e.g. to play music from older musical eras with the greatest possible authenticity. PIANO SETTINGS BLUETOOTH / MIDI SETTINGS 6.5.2 BLUETOOTH Here you can switch the Bluetooth module on or off using the Left/Right cursor keys. 6.5.3 BLUETOOTH AUDIO Indicates whether there is an active Bluetooth audio connection to the digital piano. 6.5.4 BLUETOOTH MIDI Shows whether there is an active Bluetooth MIDI connection.
PIANO SETTINGS MIDI SETTINGS 6.6.2 LOCAL CONTROL The Local Control function allows you to use the keyboard of your digital piano in MIDI Out mode without playing the internally assigned sound (Off). Keyboard data is still output via the MIDI OUT connection. This is useful if you want to operate another instrument or a computer-based recording program via the keyboard of your digital piano without simultaneously outputting a sound from the digital piano.
Your GEWA digital piano reacts much less sensitively to transportation or stress. However, should it happen that one or more keys play too loudly or too softly, you can easily adjust them yourself in the piano‘s software.
USER CALIBRATION KEYBOARD While the “Corr.“ entry is selected, play the neighbouring tones with the same velocity again and again for comparison to hear whether the tone you have just calibrated fits in evenly. When correcting, make sure that the correct tone is still selected in the “Key” entry! COMPARISON OF FACTORY AND USER CALIBRATION To check whether the user calibration was successful, it is advisable to compare the velocity behaviour with the original factory calibration.
OPERATION VIA APP OPERATION VIA APP Your GEWA digital piano can be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth. In addition to the standard functions via the Bluetooth audio and MIDI interface, additional settings can also be made via the GEWA Piano Control app.
CONNECTING EXTERNAL DEVICES CONNECTING EXTERNAL DEVICES Find out more about the connection options for your digital piano here. CONNECTING HEADPHONES Connect your headphones to one of the two 6.3 mm jack connections below the playing music table.
