This is the Main Menu. It
gives
you this information:
1.
Today's date and time. You
will set this later in this chapter.
2. The number of
bytes
(characters) remai ning in
random
access memory
(called RAM, for
short) .
3. The
5
program files that come
with the Tandy 102-BASIC,
TELCOM, ADDRSS, SCHEDL,
and TEXT. These are built in to
the Tandy 102's
read-only
memory
(ROM) and will remain
in merpory permanently.
T he remaining spaces are empty
now but wi ll contain the names
of the files {programs or data)
you store in RAM . You have
room to store 19 files in RAM.
Entering a File
The file in reversed characters is
read y to enter . '' Move' ' to other
fi les by pressing the arrow keys
{at the top of t he keyboard) .
Move to BASIC. T hen "enter"

Another way to enter a file is to
simply type the name of a file
and press
( ENTER .
As you type
the filename , you can see the
characters you are typing at
"Select:", which is at the bottom
of the Main Menu.
If you hear a
beep, you have typed too m any
characters. Press
( ENTER ;
and
start over.
