Voice Control
•
Available for Alexa and Google Assistant, you can use voice commands to control many features of
the fireplace. Install the Alexa app and Google Assistant first and follow the steps below to use voice
control.
• IT IS IMPORTANT TO USE THE EXACT PHRASES AS VARIATIONS MAY NOT WORK.

Alexa Voice Control
•
In the Alexa app, go to new routine. Alexa will discover a "thermostat" .
•
Tap "Your Smart Home Skills" at the bottom of the screen and Smart Life (by Tuya) will be found. Tap
"Enable to Use" and then link to your Amazon Alexa account when prompted.
•
Once successfully connected, finish setting up your device by selecting a location or group.
•

The following voice commands control the fireplace functions. The name "FIREPLACE" was chosen.
•
TURN ON FIREPLACE - Turns on Fireplace to the last settings for flame and ember lights, with no heat. If
the last command was "OFF" the default lights with no heat will activate.
•
TURN OFF FIREPLACE - Turns the Fireplace fully off.
•
FIREPLACE HEAT ON or SET FIREPLACE HEAT TO ON - Turns ON the Fireplace, with HEATTING set to
HIGH setting (2 Heaters active, temperature set at level 5 (25
•
FIREPLACE HEAT TO LOW or SET FIREPLACE HEAT TO LOW - Turns ON the fireplace, with HEATTING set
to LOW setting; - (1 Heaters active, temperature set at level 5 (25

FIREPLACE HEAT TO HIGH or SET FIREPLACE HEAT TO HIGH - Turns ON the Fireplace, with HEATTING set
to the HIGH setting; (2 Heaters active, temperature set at level 5 (25

FIREPLACE HEAT OFF or SET FIREPLACE HEAT TO OFF - Turn Fireplace HEAT OFF

For Google Assistant
In Google Assistant, tap Devices tab, then Set up a device and enter "Smart Life" in search.

Select Smart Life and agree and link. Choose "Fireplace" as the device.
•
Enter location preferences. You may choose to add to favourites, then turn fireplace ON.
•
The following voice commands control the fireplace functions. The name "FIREPLACE" was chosen in
the example below. Always start by saying the phrase "OK GOOGLE or HEY GOOGLE"
•
TURN ON FIREPLACE (or FIREPLACE ON) – Turns on Fireplace to the last settings for flame and ember
lights, with no HEAT. If the last setting was OFF, then default lights with no Heat will activate

TURN OFF FIREPLACE or FIREPLACE OFF or SET FIREPLACE TO OFF – Turn the Fireplace fully off!
