Power and I/O connector
A 17-pin M12 A-coded male connector is used for power supply and I/O signals.
We recommend shielded cables, for example:

Pin 15 is reserved for future use and should not be left open.

Leave pin 16 open for normal operation. Connecting pin 16 to GND during power-on will put the device into USB
recovery mode, see section USB.
