CONTROLS AND CONNECTION
Amplified, Front Firing Speaker
Received calls are heard over this speaker. RX
audio is amplified to be loud enough for most
situations. The volume level can be controlled
using either the Volume Up / Down buttons
on the speaker microphone, or by using the
volume controls on the handset.
Smart PTT Button
Pressing and holding this button will
cause your PTT Over Cellular (POC)
app to transmit a message. Release
the button when done speaking.
Clothing Clip
The alligator-type clip secures the
speaker microphone to the user's
clothing during use. The clip can be
rotated to allow the microphone to
be better positioned.
Hook Button
This button can be pressed to
answer or hang up phone calls.
Pressing and holding the button
will either reject an incoming call
or launch your smart device's
voice assistant (if no phone
call is incoming)
Earphone Jack
This jack is used to connect an (optional)
wired listen-only earphone to the speaker
microphone for enhanced privacy.
USB-C Charge Jack
This USB-C jack is used to recharge
the removable battery of the speaker
microphone by connecting the
speaker microphone C to a USB
charger or any powered USB source.
USB-C or Lightning Accessory Connector
The connector on the microphone plugs into
the accessory jack on your smart device.

Microphone:
This microphone picks up the user's
voice audio when sending a call.
Volume Up and Down Buttons
These buttons can be used to turn
the receive audio volume of the
speaker microphone up or down.
Status LED
The status LED will light red when
the speaker microphone is
plugged into a charger and turn
off when the battery in the
microphone is fully charged.
Mobile Mounting Hardware
A replacement backet is supplied for
users in mobile environments who
wish to hand the microphone up
rather than clipping it to their clothing.
CHARGING THE SPEAKER MICROPHONE
To power the amplifier, this speaker microphone has
an internal rechargeable battery pack which must be
charged prior to operation, and must be recharged regularly.
A fully charged battery should provide greater than 40 hours of
continuous operation before needing to be recharged. However,
operating time can vary depending on usage and the condition of
the battery pack. Recharge the battery regularly. When the battery
is low the status LED will light red to inform the user.
TO CHARGE THE SPEAKER MICROPHONE
1. Ensure the speaker microphone is unplugged from the smartphone.
2. Plug the charge cable into any powered USB outlet, such as an
AC wall charger, and then into the charge jack on the bottom of the speaker microphone.
3. Once the charging process has begun, the LED indicator on the bottom of the speaker
microphone will show a constant red light.
4. Typical charge time is approximately five hours. Actual charge time will vary depending on
several factors including the battery's charge state, condition, and age.
5. When the battery is fully charged the LED indicator on the side of the speaker mic will turn off.
6. Disconnect the charger from the adapter when charging is completed.
Charging Cautions:
- Do not use a wall charger or charge cable that appears to be damaged.
(Example: frayed wires, melted plastic, etc.)
- Do not tamper with or modify the speaker microphone or charger.
- Always disconnect the speaker microphone from the smartphone when charging.
INSTALL OPTIONAL BUTTON HOOK FOR VEHICULAR MOUNTING P CLIP P16 BUTTON
The supplied clothing clip can be removed and the optional vehicle mounting button can be
installed on the rear of the microphone using a Philips head screwdriver and the supplied screws.
The vehicle hang-up hook should be mounted somewhere within easy reach of the user
where the microphone cable can reach the handset but will not block or become tangled with
any of the vehicle's controls.
