If toasting one slice only, use a lower setting than normal to avoid
over-toasting.
NOTE: You will also notice a slight variation in toast color on one side of a
single slice.
Cut the bread slice thinner, if it is thicker than the slots. Do not push the
bread into the toaster by force, this will cause burning and jamming
within slots.
When toasting two or more items (on four slice models), it is recommended
they are of equal size and freshness.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Always unplug and let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning
and storage.
Wipe the outside of the toaster with a damp cloth and dry it with another cloth
or paper towel. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or any liquid, or place them under
running water.
Never use pointed or sharp objects to clean the inside of the toaster to avoid
damaging the toaster heating elements of the toaster.
Never use a brush or push your fingers or metal objects into the slots.
Clean your appliance after every use and remove crumbs or bread remaining
in the toaster. Turn the toaster upside down and shake it gently.
Empty the crumb tray regularly as crumbs could catch fire if accumulated in
the crumb tray.
Note: Do not remove the crumb tray while the toaster is plugged in or
in operation.
Clean the crumb tray and bun warmer rack with a clean, damp cloth or wash
it in warm soapy water. Stubborn spots on the tray can be removed with a
nylon mesh pad. The tray is not dishwasher safe. Dry thoroughly before fitting
them back to the toaster.
Wrap the power cord around the cord clips at the bottom of toaster. Keep the
toaster in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled person.

SAFETY MEASURES

When using your appliance, the following basic safety precautions should always
be followed:
► Before using this appliance for the first time, check that the appliance voltage
is the same as your local supply.
► If the plug of the appliance's power cord does not fit your wall outlet,
contact an authorized service center.
► Use of various adapters may result in damage to the appliance and
termination of the warranty.
► Only use the appliance for the purposes stipulated in the instructions.
Operating this appliance in any way apart from the described manner, will
lead to dangers such as short circuit, fire or more. It is not allowed to modify
this product in any way, or for the housing to be opened, otherwise the
product will no longer be in compliance with its safety class.
► Only use attachments supplied with the appliance. Do not use any
unauthorized attachments, as they may be hazardous. The use of
unauthorized accessory attachments is not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer as it may cause injury.
► To avoid electric shocks, do not immerse the appliance, plug or power
cord in water or any other liquids. Do not place the appliance where it
could come into contact with water or other liquids. If the appliance comes in
contact with water, immediately disconnect it from the mains. Do not use the
appliance again until it has been serviced by an authorized service center.
► This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
► Keep the appliance and its cable out of children's reach.
► Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
► To avoid circuit overload, do not operate any other high voltage equipment on
the same circuit.
