Before using the appliance, please check the voltage and the type of plug that
is required for your location.
Before first use, remove all packaging materials including those inside the
toasting slots or the bread carriage lever slot. Thoroughly clean parts that
come in contact with food and dry the appliance thoroughly as described in the
"CARE AND MAINTENANCE" section.
When operating the appliance for the first time, or after long storage, run the
first toasting process without any bread to burn off any dust in the toaster.
Turn the browning control to "3" and wait for the toasting process to complete.
Ventilate the room to get rid of odor, if any.
NOTE: Emission of light smoke or odor may occur when you use the appliance
for the first time. It is normal and does not affect the safety of your appliance.
Place the appliance on a dry, stable, heat resistant surface, with sufficient
space above and around the appliance to allow air circulation.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Insert the power plug into the mains supply outlet.
Note: Before plugging the toaster into the outlet, ensure the bread carriage
lever is in the 'Up' position and the crumb tray is locked in place.
2.
Turn the browning control to the required setting. The browning control sets
the operation time of the toaster - '1' is for light toasting and '7' is for the
darkest toast.
3.
After selected the browning level, place your bread in the slots and lower the
bread carriage lever until it is locked. The self-adjusting bread guides will
automatically hold the bread upright for even toasting.
NOTE: The bread carriage lever will not stay down unless the toaster is
connected to power. Please don't put too thin or too thick slices, pastry
with any runny filling/frosting, buttered bread, wrapped food or torn
slices of bread into the toasting slots.
4.
When the set time is reached and the toasting is done, the bread will pop-up
automatically. The bread carriage lever will return to its original position and the
toaster will stop heating. You may now remove toasts from the slots.
NOTE: Be careful when removing the toasts, as the bread and the top of the
toaster may be hot.
5.
If you want to process second batch of toasting, allow the appliance to cool
down at least 1 minute.
6.
If the bread is jammed in the slot, unplug the toaster immediately. After the
toaster has cooled down, remove the bread carefully with a suitable wooden or
plastic spatula.
Note: Never use metal utensils to remove the bread.
7.
When the toaster is not in use, unplug the appliance and let it cool down
thoroughly before cleaning or storage.
8.
Bread carriage lever should be in the 'Up' position when removing the plug from
the wall outlet.
