1411 Error C:h.,ck Switches
All 1411 op<•1·ations are thoroughly checked with error detection
circuits. You Hhould develop the habit of testing the operation
of these ch<•<"k circuits before starting to analyze any machine
problem. Sll'il ches to test the check circuits are located on the
console.

Address Syn<'
Address swil<'h<'H on the 1411 CE panel may be set to cause an
output at th<· H)'llC hub, on the same panel, for any chosen core
address, ThiH address can be further conditioned by:

to manufactun• a sync pulse, or to force the machine to stop on
certain conditions, etc.

dress sync output available at the CE panel sync hub.
Master Error Circuit
When a prob!<·
m
exists that may be detected more readily by dis-
abling the maHtcr error circuit, it is possible to accomplish this
by connectin!( a jumper from ground (any Pin
J)
to pin G of
1411D2E22 (Lo!(iC 18, 14, 08, 1)
If this method is used, care must be taken to insure that
the jumper is not left in place when the machine is returned
to the customer.
Forcing The Machine To stop
The machine normally stops at the end of some cycle.
stopping the machine at the time an error occurs during a
cycle can be :wcomplished by removing the "Error Sample"
input (taping pin) to block 2F, Logic 18.14. 08.
Caution: Never force a stop with 2nd clock pulse
on~
This
could damage core storage circuit resistors.
