Installing Matrox Morphis QxT

Before you install your Matrox Morphis QxT board(s), some precautionary
measures must be taken. Turn off the power to your computer and its peripherals,
and drain static electricity from your body (by touching a metal part of the
computer chassis).
Use the following steps to install your Matrox Morphis QxT board(s). Note that
your board(s) should be installed before you install your software.
1. Remove the cover from your computer using the instructions from your computer
manual.
2. Check that you have an x4 or x8 empty PCIe slot to accommodate the Matrox
Morphis QxT base board. Illustrated below are some slots.
If you are also installing a Matrox Morphis QxT Digital I/O module, you also
need a free bracket location at the back of the computer chassis. This bracket
location need not be adjacent to the base board. In addition, the slot associated
with the bracket location can be of any type.
