Using the Drive with Desktop Computer

Daisy chain connection

You can connect the drive to other SCSI devices (up to seven devices). Make sure that

each SCSI device has different SCSI ID number.

For the setting of SCSI ID number and Terminator switches, refer to "Setting the SCSI

ID NO." and "Setting the Terminator" («= P. 16-17).

Since the drive has only one SCSI connector, it must be the last device in the Daisy

chain. In this case, set the Terminator switch to ON (œ P. 17) and the other SCSI

devices to OFF.

(Example)

Cautions:

è if the drive is connected as the last device, set the Terminator to ON and other

devices set to OFF.

e Do not duplicate SCSI ID numbers in the computer system.
