Cable Installation
8.1 Route the primary cable into the back of the cabinet,
allowing approx. 6 feet of service loop. Mark the cable
tie down point on the primary jacket. Remove the
cable from the enclosure.
8.2 Strip off the cable sheath, cut off all strength members,
and break out the fiber sub-units. Re-route the cable
into the enclosure and secure the primary jacket with
cable ties at the back flange of the chassis. Avoid
sharp bends or over-tightening the cable ties. Tie
down the sub units with slack in an "S" shape as shown
to allow full tray movement without binding.
8.3 Strip approx. 2 feet of jacket from the sub-units. Using
the adhesive clips, form a large loop leaving the 2 feet of
individual fibers for the last loop. Be sure the tray does
not kink the fibers or cables.
8.4 Terminate the fibers with connectors using breakout
kits or splices as required by manufacturer's procedures.
Clean all connectors and plug into the
adapters. Route any excess fibers into the clips
provided. Allow a minimum fiber service loop diameter
of three inches.
9
Patch Cord Installation
9.1 Connect all patch cords from the front adapter ports to the active equipment. Route the cables out the
left and right access ports in the front sides of the cabinet.
9.2 Use the Velcro straps to secure the cables to the tray.
