At nominal mains voltage the rated output of 220 VA is available for a
range of load resistance from 0.5n to almost 1.0n (Fig.4.5). Operation with
reduced mains voltage limits the unclipped swing of the output voltage.
However, for a 0.5n load the full 220 VA is available down to
approximate-
ly 90% of the rated mains voltage.
The unclipped voltage output depends on mains voltage, output current,
and frequency. At nominal mains voltage, the output voltage is typically
over 12 V for an output current of 20 A, rising to 18 to 20 V for lower
output currents.
The rated load current is 22 ARMS over the range 40Hz-10kHz, 11 A
RMS over the low frequency range (0.1 Hz-5 Hz) and 10 A at DC.
The small signal frequency response of the 2707 across a 0.5n load is
shown in Fig.4.6. The high frequency response in the "High" mode is main-
ly determined by the load resistance. Amplifier gain is 5 Volts/Volt± 1 dB
in the "Low" impedance mode and 14 Amperes/Volt± 2 dB in the "High"
impedance mode.
