ASSEMBLING HANDLE
ASSEMBLY TO CARRIAGE
1.
Loosen and remove hex nut (A) Fig. 19, two flat
washers
(8)
and stud (C) from handle assembly
IMPORTANT:
It may be necessary to remove wing nut
(E) and remove one end of spring (F) to assemble handle
to carriage assembly.
2.
Thread stud (C) and assemble one flat washer
Fig. 20, which were removed in STEP 1, to left side of
carriage assembly (E) as shown.
Loosen and remove hex nut (G) Fig. 20, and one flat

(H),
from stud of carriage assembly (E).
4.
Assemble handle assembly
and
(K)
as shown, and fasten with hex nuts (A) and (G)
flat washers

and
(H)
which were removed in STEPS
1 and
3.
5.
Assemble free end of tension spring (L) Fig. 21 A,
through the hole in end of threaded rod (M), as shown.
Carefully apply tension to spring (L) and insert end of
threaded rod (M), through hole in lip of handle assembly
(0),
and fasten with flat washer and wing nut (E), which
were removed from handle assembly
Correct spring tension is determined by the operator and
can be adjusted later.
