Make sure that your hands and feet do not
come near the cutting attachment when
the engine/motor is on.
When the engine/motor is switched off,
keep your hands and feet away from the
cutting attachment until it has stopped fully.
Always keep the cutting attachment near
the ground.
Always do edging at full throttle/speed.
Do not tilt when starting the engine or
switching on the motor, unless the product
has to be tilted for starting. In this case,
do not tilt the product more than necessary
and lift only the part which is away from the
operator.
Always slow the engine/motor to idle
speed after each work operation. Long
periods at full throttle/speed without any
load on the engine/motor (i.e without
the resistance that the cutting attachment
exerts on the engine/motor when you are
using the product) can lead to serious
engine/motor damage.
Be especially careful when you pull the
product towards you during work.
If any object is hit or if vibrations occur
stop the product immediately. If you have
a gasoline operated product, remove the
spark plug cap from the spark plug. If you
have a battery operated product, remove
the battery. Check that the product is not
damaged. Repair any damage.
Sometimes grass or stones can get
trapped in the cutting attachment guard
and cutting attachment. Always stop the
engine/motor before you clean it.

noise level and long usage. Husqvarna
recommends that operators use hearing
protectors when using products for a
longer coherent time of a day. Continual
and regular users should have their
hearing checked regularly.
WARNING:
protectors limit the ability to hear
sounds and warning signals.
Use approved eye protection. If you use
a visor, you must also use approved
protective goggles. Approved protective
goggles must comply with the ANSI Z87.1
standard in the USAs or EN 166 in EU
countries.
Use a visor for face protection. A visor is
not enough for protection of the eyes.
Use gloves when necessary, for example
when you attach, examine or clean the
cutting equipment.
Use sturdy non-slip boots or shoes.
Use clothing made of a strong fabric.
Always use heavy, long pants and long
sleeves. Do not use loose clothing that can
catch on twigs and branches. Do not wear
jewelry, short pants, sandals or go with
bare feet. Put your hair up safely above
shoulder level.
Keep first aid equipment close at hand.
