SET-UP

The standard version includes the following system components:
power source
wire feeder
wire feeder power source extension
torch for manual welding
built-in/optional cooling unit
pressure regulator
gas cylinder
Step 1
Connect the pressure regulator to the inert gas cylinder. The gas nozzle diameter affects the gas flow in l/min to be set on the
pressure regulator.
Step 2
Connect the gas hose of the extension to the fitting 14 of the wire feeder and to the pressure reducer on the cylinder.
Step 3
Connect the power supply plug to the electrical panel, checking that the voltages and fuses are compatible with values specified
in the technical data table.
Step 4
Connect the welding torch to the central adapter 6 and any cooling pipes to the water fittings 5 on the wire feeder, connect the earth
cable to connector 9.
Step 5
Item no 382, 383
Turn on the power source by moving the switch 15 to position 1.
Item no 379
The switch 15 should be turned to 230 V or 400 V depending on the power supply voltage used. The default setting for this model is 400 V.
To select 230 V, unscrew the switch knob, turn the metal disk underneath it upside-down, and screw the switch knob back on as firmly as
possible.
Step 6
If the cooling unit is used, check that the fluid level is between Min and Max on the reservoir.
Enable the cooling unit from the Accessories menu (see instruction manual 3301231).
Step 7
Insert the welding wire into the MIG torch, by threading it over the wire feeder rollers, close the drive unit arms and press the "WIRE
TEST" pushbutton until it has emerged from the welding torch.
Step 8
Perform the gas test to check the gas flows and the exact flowrate previously set on the pressure reducer of the cylinder.
Step 9
The power source is ready for use. For details of processes and machine settings, refer to the full instruction manual code 3301291.

Cooling unit

For correct connection of the cooling unit Item No 1686 to the power source, consult instruction manual code 3301297.
When topping up or checking the coolant, use appropriate equipment such as protective gloves for your hands and protective
goggles for your eyes.

Coolant requirements

The power source is supplied with a minimum quantity of coolant liquid: the customer is responsible for filling the tank before the system is used.
Use only Cebora coolant (Item No 1514) and read the MSDS carefully to ensure its safe use and correct conservation. The 5 litre capacity tank
inlet is located to the front of the power source.
Fill up to max level and top up to make up the volume of fluid in the pipes after the first system start-up.
NOTE: small fluid leaks will occur during use of the system and particularly when changing the torch or consumables. Top up weekly to max level.
NOTE: after 6 months, the coolant must be changed completely, regardless of how many hours of work the system has completed.
