1. BOLENS GARDENER is a 4.3 horsepower walk-
ing type tractor with a ground speed range of 1-1/2
to 3 miles per hour. A complete line of attach-
ments is available forplowii^, harrowing, seeding,
cultivating, lawn mowing, sickle mowing, spraying,
grading, snow plowing and many other year-around
operations.
2. The four-cycle, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine
with 6 to 1 gear reduction drives the tractor through
individual power turn clutches for each wheel.
3. All controls are conveniently located on the han-
dle. The right hand lever operates the right wheel
clutch and the left hand lever operates the left wheel
clutch. Throttle control and stop switch are located
on the left handle for easy accessibility.
4. One of the pneumatic tires is liquid filled with
calcium chloride solution for additional traction. Two
pounds of calcium chloride to one gallon of water
wUl withstand freezing to -20° F.
5. Front attachments are mounted on the front of the
tractor with Bolens Snap Hitch. Rear mounted attach-
ments a r e attached with Bolens instant Hitch. Instruc-
tions for installing attachments are included with
each attachment.
6. TYPE AND SERIAL NUMBER. The nameplate
is attached to the top of the jackshaft casting figure
